Build a routine that leaves room for fun

Begin with the current state

A routine works best when it starts with what your character actually needs. Before setting off, look at the needs displayed in the game and decide what deserves attention first. The reference guide describes hunger, energy, hygiene, bladder, fun and social needs; check the current game for the labels and values you see today.

Avoid copying somebody else's exact schedule without looking at your own starting point. Your location, current resources and chosen activities can change what makes sense.

Group nearby activities

Open the map before planning a sequence of actions. If two things you want to do are close together, handling them in the same trip may make your session simpler. Read any opening hours before committing to a journey.

The goal is to reduce avoidable backtracking, not to find a perfect route on your first try. Notice which trips feel convenient and which leave you rushing.

Make space around commitments

If an activity has a fixed start time, work backwards from it. Leave room to get ready and travel. When sharing a routine in the community, explain the assumptions it relies on instead of presenting it as the only correct way to play.

• What location does your routine start from?
• Which activities have a time restriction?
• What do you check before leaving?
• Where is there room for a break or a different plan?

Review one thing at a time

After a session, pick one part of the routine to improve. Perhaps you want a shorter trip, a clearer priority or more time for social activities. Change that one part and compare the next session.

A useful community post includes both what worked and what did not. Other players can learn from the reasoning even when their own circumstances are different.
