Daily fuel cost = refill cost ÷ runtime × backup hours. Extra solar cost = solar price minus the generator purchase you would otherwise make. If you already own a generator, its old purchase is excluded. Break-even rounds extra cost ÷ daily fuel savings up to a whole game day.
This comparison assumes no solar fuel cost and excludes maintenance, resale, battery limits and changing outages. It estimates equivalent fuel use; the game may sell fuel in whole refills. Verify these assumptions before buying.
